H Family

I first met this wonderful family last December for their maternity photo session (check it out under December archives).  They now have two very sweet little girls and lots of love in their adorable family of four!  Big sis showed us some of her ballerina moves and also posed with her baby sis for some girly girl tu-tu shots... and I LOVE tu-tus in photos for little girls!  S & J, it was great to see you guys again and meet baby Chylar.

B & R, I think you guys take the cake for the most easy going baby!  I don't think this little guy cried once during his session!  Not only that, but 6 weeks old and lots of smiles :)  You were all so great to work with and have such a handsome baby boy... what a great job i have getting to look at little faces like this all the time... take a peek:

If you have followed my work for any amount of time, you know I LOVE blue jeans in photos!

The only time he fell asleep... he didn't want to miss anything :)  A little rocking and snuggling from Daddy did the trick just fine though

Jack & Elle

There's something really cool about being a twin... these two dont' know it yet, but they have each other for life!  B& K, you did well with these two, they are beautiful.  Though you probably won't be able to get through the mall without getting stopped at least a dozen times for ooo-ings and aaaww-ings :)

 

Elle is all girl for sure!  Such sweet delicate features...

This images just makes me giggle!  Such a great "scrunchie face"  Jack, I think you are going to be fun and laid back :)

What's better than ten sweet little toes?... Two sets of them of course!

Almost two months old here, but being a bit smaller at birth makes it still possible to do some of those great newborn holds.  I think every new parents needs a photo of their baby in their hands... not only to show how small they once were, but that symbolism of security and love it shows 

Of course, staying true to being a twin, one must always sleep while the other is awake...

It was wonderful to meet you both and photograph your TWO precious gifts!

Victoria

It's rare for a baby older than 8 weeks to fall asleep during their photo session, but baby Victoria decided a lot of her photos were going to be sleepy shots :)  Mom brought these great frilly bloomers with Victoria's name stitched on the hiney, as you'll see below, a great personal touch!  (BTW: bringing personal items to your session is a great idea... it's what makes your images a little more unique!)  This baby girl was such a great little model and it was so great adding all the girly details in her photos! 

Update on the McFarland House

*Note* this post is a bit lengthy, but meant to update family and friends on my clan of kiddos

I knew all my life that i wanted to be a mom... my mom has pictures of me before i was even two carrying around a dolly and a purse!  My three kiddos are my dream come true!  Matt and I love our kiddos to pieces and couldn't imagine life without them.  I just finished a day and of shooting and thought i would take a break to post my girl and two little men. 

My baby girl turned two this week!  She is such a joyful little girl and is really starting to figure out what she likes: bubbles, going outside, fruit, going outside, Veggie-Tales (she even sings to the opening song), going outside, coloring, reading, playing with her friends (whom she calls "the kids"), and going outside.  Yes, she loves the great outdoors :)  You can click on the two links in my sidebar to see some picures from her playgroup birthday party (Laurel Wreath and The Holts).  My sis got the funniest picture of her with pudding all over her face (we let the kids finger paint with pudding)

On to my little guys... they just turned 5 months, so these were just a few shots of them in their diapers in the studio.  This turned out a little better than the last diaper session in the studio :)  Next month for their big 6 month session, i'm planning on some fun (maybe outdoor) photos.  But for now, I'm so excited that my 3 little ones are all in the same shot looking cute. They may not be looking at the camera, but this is my type of photo anyways.  I think this one is going up in the house!

These two little guys make me laugh all day long!  Just barely throw a glance their way and their faces light up like this!  Oh, if only i could freeze time :) sigh.  I think this one is going up in the house too

And here's Caleb... this is his favorite position right now.  And even after a little hair cut, he still has his mohawk!  The kid came out of the womb with a mohawk and it doesn't look like it's going away (that's ok, i think it's kinda cute :)

Alright, now everyone is updated on my trio... i have one more photo to share that i'm very excited about!

This is my newest little niece and what a long awaited miracle she is!  I had the wonderful privilege of watching her come into the world.  This verse comes to mind: "For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother's womb.  I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well."  Psalm 139:13-14  Here is one from the hospital and i'm sure i'll be photographing her sweet face again soon

R Maternity Continued...

Ok, here's the collages i promised :)  These two will definitely survive as parents with this kind of light- hearted sense of humor!  There will be days that you will have to laugh (as you get repeatedly spit up on, the diaper is not quite as "leak proof" as they said, and you get to the end of the day and realized you haven't gotten out of your PJs yet). Babies are truly a blessing and I know you both are eagerly awaiting baby London's arrival.  Enjoy every minute!!  By the way, is that a baby in Daddy's belly too?!?!

 

R Maternity

A baby girl is on her way!  I really had a lot of fun working with this couple... they had a great sense of humor and it showed in their photographs.  I have a fun little collage of their silly photos, but i'll be posting that tomorrow since it's late.  Ali & Asaf, i know you have been patiently awaiting these and they are on their way!  Below are some of my favorite (non-silly) images.  I love this first one of Ali

Baby Gavin

I met this great family over a year ago to photograph them with their baby girl Ava.  Now Ava is a big sister!  Gavin was a great sport for his first photo session.  And what a cutie he is!  We also did some fun shots of Ava and Daddy together while Gavin was filling up his belly :)  (Feeding breaks are a normal part of newborn sessions)  Ava has this beautiful head full of red hair and an a spunky sweet personality :)  You gotta be quick to get shots of a 2 year old and a newborn together, so i'm glad the ones below came out!  Also, Mom had her hair and makeup done by Julie (the studio's hair and makeup artist), and can you believe she just had a baby!?!  Good to see you again L Family.  Here are some of my personal favorites from the day:
